So What’s The Deal With Valentine’s Day?

Yup I know that sounds like a line from “Seinfeld” but it is a legitimate question.  Has this day of romance and love turned into just another way for retailers to empty our wallets?  It’s about returning to the basics, people.  What is romance and how do we typically show love to our significant others.  Through jewelry, dinners at fine restaurants or flowers?  All good things to partake in at any time of the year I say.

Why not bring home some flowers to your husband one night of the week?  That would be a spontaneous act of love.  Or even some sort of special dinner by candle light.  That is not a bad idea.  I have done that one.

Expressing love comes in many shapes and forms which create a “feel good” glow to both or all parties involved.  So why do we have to choose one specific day out of the entire 365 to get our credit cards swiped?  Why not make Valentines Day a once a month experience for your family, husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend (well you get the picture).

Random acts of love and kindness produce only one thing in my opinion, good karma!

Everyone can use a bit of that in their soul bank account.  So let’s all get out there and choose when we want our Valentines Days to occur.  Not the other way around through a calendar made up by those who just want your money for expensive jewelry and sappy greeting cards.  Make everyday Valentines Day if you want to.

Here’s my challenge to all of you out there on the world wide web.  Along with the nice dinner or fancy jewelry why not do one random act of kindness this Valentines Day and see just how good it makes you feel.

Let me know what you do and how it works out.  I am thinking of mine right now… ♥♥♥

Yes, we don’t need to empty our credits so we can show our love to someone!
Love isn’t about money or gifts, its about something in the soul and it comes from the heart…
I loved the idea and when i have my own love i’ll be doin’ my best to keep everyday a Valentine day not only one day in the whole year….

Keep on writing cuz your words full of wisdom :)
